Training Co-ordinator

Three years ago, Sophie contracted a serious bout of pneumonia and remained surprisingly tired and run-down for a long time afterwards and even resorted to taking 40 days worth of antibiotics. Her immune system was shot to pieces and in desperation she went to have a Body Energy concept. Despite her scientific background – Sophie has a biology degree – and scepticism, she was amazed to feel better and better after every treatment. Realising that The Body Energy concept had to be on to something, Sophie re-trained with them and qualified in March 2005 as a Body Energy Therapist.

Sophie has spent her career working for various charities in the voluntary sector. For the last 10 years she has been involved with the Refugee Council, and before that she worked for Mencap and The Samaritans amongst others. She now delivers training to various voluntary sector organisations in areas such as leadership skills, business planning and project management.

At The Body Energy Company, Sophie will be responsible for any new legislation or political changes to complementary medicine that may affect The Body Energy concept. She will also focus on developing courses for the mainstream market – such as in-salon beauty therapists and physiotherapists – and ensure the high standards of the company are met with every new trainee. Sophie will also work with important bodies such as the British Register of Complementary Practitioners, the Institute of Complimentary Medicine and the British Register of Practitioners to ensure that accreditation for The Body Energy training is recognised.

Sophie’s passion and belief in The Body Energy Company is revealed in her dedication to treating her own tow children, aged 10 and 12. ‘I give them monthly sessions and they follow the dietary principles of Body Energy.’ Since using these tools while raising her children she’s noticed definite changes, ‘Their concentration and stamina is much higher, and one of them had eczema which cleared up.’ As a mum it leaves Sophie feeling more in control, ‘I now know what to do to help my children and family stay healthy and well – if they’re looking a little peaky I give them a session. For preventative work, the Body Energy concept is wonderful.’ For other members of Sophie’s family it has also been life-changing, ‘We’re all on a much more even keel emotionally now. Poor blood sugar levels and imbalance in the body’s internal energy are linked to mood swings, and with Body Energy you have a set of tools to stay in control, giving yourself emotional equilibrium.’ When the Body Energy concept becomes more mainstream, Sophie believes it could have a serious impact on the health of the whole nation. ‘Body Energy is life changing. I’m in control of my life and my health, I know how to keep well and by raising the body’s internal energy my body can heal itself and I don’t have to take medication.’
